Im wondering if there are any major differences between the qjets on the 83 307 and the 86 307. I took the 86 one off a cutlass today to try to familiarize myself with a qjet before I attempt to rebuild mine.

 

The main difference is in the internal stops for the mixture control solenoid and the required adjustment process. The early CCC carbs have what is called a "two point" adjustment (my 84 came with one of these) but the later CCC carbs have a "three point" adjustment (as on my 86). The adjustment process for the MC solenoid, metering rods, and idle vent are different.
