would i be better off building up my 307 or putting a 350,403 in my cutlass surpreme classic 88. please can anybody give me any advice i would really appreciate it.

It's hard to beat a good 350 for power and maintenance.

There's lots of great folks at www.oldspower.com that have done that swap before. They can help you with the details.
