i purchased a 1972 cutlass supreme. everything is great on the car exept for the gas tank. when i fill the tank it only takes about a dollar. only way i can fill it is with a gas can cause it fills it slowly.the vent lines were disconnected when i checked the gas tank so i connected lines to the standpipe and to the charcoal cannister.now the inside of my car smells like gas, its not stong but noticeable.also when i start the car i need to press on the gas petal to start car.when before i didnt need to. I'm thinking about connecting it the way it was..Is there another way i can vent the gas tank so i can fill my gas tank like normal people.
