72 cutlass intake questions

So I have a 72 cutlass supreme. It has the 350 rocket. The car is all original and I'm changing out basic stuff. I don't know too much about cars, but I'm trying to learn. I purchased an eldebrock 3711 intake and there are so many holes left open and a few parts or sensors that I don't know what they are called so I don't know what to look up to replace. It's a 4bbl rochester carb. I have most things already back in place but im not sure what is going to need to be plugged and what isn't. I do have the oil sensor that goes on the front. But there are 2 parts I don't know what they are called that look in rough shape. Any help will be appreciated. I can take and send pics of what I've got if needed.

Welcome to the CO group. Your best starting point is to own an original (used) 1972 GM Oldsmobile Chassis Service Manual (CSM). It is your bible for all things relevant to your car. Buy an original (used) book. Copies and digital (CD) formats are (nearly) worthless. It will answer the majority of your questions & is by far your best source of information. As suggested, posting pictures will assist other members in providing you good answers. Some holes will also need to accommodate the throttle linkage which mounts onto the intake manifold.

You'll have to also plug off the EGR port on this manifold - the 2711 is E-brocks non-EGR intake.

OP has a 3711. I don't know the difference(s).

Edelbrock 3711 is the EGR manifold for 73 and later motors with EGR valve - the 2711 is same but without the EGR port. So OP would arguably need an EGR block-off plate for the 3711 port. If the 3711 was purchased new, it should have the block-off plate included in the install parts.

Consider replacing the rubber and steel line to the carburetor from the fuel pump with an all steel line as the factory did. At a minimum confirm that the rubber hose is for gasoline, of high quality and in good condition then double clamp the hose on both ends. A leak on the suction side of the pump isn't good, on the pressure side which this is can spray gasoline on a hot engine.

Good luck!!!
