I have never heard of an aluminum 403 block, it sounds like a disaster😁. Is it one of the factory experimental aluminum 350 blocks bored and stroked to 403?

Not factory, It was a few years ago. On one of the Oldsmobile forums. Can not find anything about it now. Yes it could be next to impossible to go bored 403 with steel sleeves.

Yeah, I saw that aluminum 350 in a car at one of the OCA shows a few years back. I even had to check it with a magnet. Crazy.

Olds made experimental aluminum 350 and 455 blocks in the 1960s primarily to support the CroSal CanAm race car project. Some of these blocks made their way into boats and other race cars (Garner's off-road car, for example). A handful are privately owned. These are not what the OP is asking about.
