Distributor advance - MSD Ready-to-Run

Hi All,
Assuming the internals are correctly aligned does it matter if the distributor advance canister on the base of the billet housing on an MSD is facing right or left?

Normally its on the right and the stock distributor cap window access is on the left. In reality the engine nor the distributor care where it is as long as the firing order is correct.
