Balancer specs

Guys I'm at a loss. I had my engine balanced with a stock balancer. It looks a bit iffy and would like to replace it. All the stock balancers I see weight in at 8.5. The one ii have weighs in at 10.09 lbs . I think I found the one I need on ebay (used) but it claims its a specific 350 4 speed balancer ( not w31) but unique. Could this be the reason fr the weight difference between the common balancer and the one I have ????

Also if I buy a balancer with adjustable weights could I just match my weight I'm at now and be fine ????

Never been in this situation and trying to avoid re balancing.

You’ll need to find somebody with an arbor that can spin just a balancer. Then you’ll need to balance the new balancer to the same imbalance as the old one. That’s the only way I know to do it.

By iffy, if you mean the rubber between ring and hub is coming loose, you can have your balancer ring rebonded.

It hasn't spun. The ring looks like it move back a little bit on the hub slightly like the shop possibly dropped it or it was hammered at one point. Either way I found the correct 4 speed balancer on ebay for 70. Hope its good if not then I will have one rebonded and have an extra.
