Yelp! Meeee

changing the intake manifold, i have all the bolts out of the thing but it dosent seem to wnt to come out.. im sure its pretty snug in there by now, any tricks to this i maybe dont know about?

grab a small pry bar and pull it up from an available corner to pull it loose .

You could also take a rubber mallet and bang the front end of the intake with a couple of sharp blows to loosen it up a bit. It's just stuck down with age. You're replacing the gasket anyway and the intake is not going to break - it's pretty solid cast steel. Just an FYI, it weighs about 40 pounds so be prepared for that when you're lifting it.

i got it out... the reason i really pulled it is because my car has been knocking a bit and today it got pretty bad so i decided to take the manifold off and snoop around, seeing as ivenever done this b4 and havent had this car for a while i was shocked to see how clean it was.. but do the lifter rods and all that look okay? it looks like some arent seated right..

That's completely normal. The lifters that are raised are on the upload side of the cam to open the valve for new fuel or exhaust the combusted fuel.
