Wrong alternator bracket?

The brackets I have came off a 455 that I was told the year 1971 but now I’m believing them to be 1972 because the power steering pump that came with them is the 72 style, so the alternator brackets won’t work on the 350 in my 71 Cutlass, does anyone have pictures of the correct brackets?

Hi,

What setup are you running, AC or non-AC?

If NonAC alt on passenger side, the bracket has a strut rod that has 2 different positions one bbo, or sbo, that goes to the upper bracket and near the waterpump

Hope this helps if not more details and pictures should get someone to point you in the right direction.

Regards,

Thanks I found the 71 style brackets from the family that I bought the car from, very possible the originals, sitting in a pile of car parts, alternator bracket and power steering pump with brackets.
