Thumbs up "Winter Work - Almost Complete"...

Winter Work - Almost Complete! I have done a lot of work on my Engine and Engine Bay over the winter, I still have a little left to do but I am getting there, trying to get ready for the Cruise-Ins that start in April.

Things that I have done:

  • Engine and Engine Bay Cleaning and Detailing.
  • New: Re-Built Rochester Quadrajet Carburetor with Base Gasket and Air Cleaner Lid Gasket by Guaranteed Carburetors, Water Pump & Water Pump Stud Kit, All 3 Heater Hoses, Both Radiator Hoses, New Hose Clamps, All 3 Belts, Radiator Cap, Complete Tune-Up: New: Distributer Cap, Rotor Button, Point & Condenser, AC Delco Spark Plugs and Spark Plug Wires, Replaced some of the Vacuum Lines / Hoses, Oil & Filter Change, New: Fuel Filter, Air Filter, Crankcase Breather and PCV Valve, 1 New Horn and Etc.
  • New Metal Fuel Line from the Fuel Pump to the Carburetor.
  • New Washer Fluid Jug & Cap.
Things that I have left to do:

  • Put Fan Shroud, Fan and Fan Clutch back on which I have already cleaned up.
  • Top Radiator Hose with 2 new Clamps and Factory Hose Holder to Fan Shroud.
  • Fill up with 50/50 Green Antifreeze.
  • Re-install the Braces that go from the Fenders to the Firewall which I have already cleaned up.
  • Put Air Cleaner Base and Lid back on with new Air Filter which I have already cleaned up and re-decaled.
  • New Hood Pad with New Round Clips and New Under-hood Light Bulb.
  • Re-charge Battery.
Here are some Pictures of my progress:

I will post some more when I am done.

Looks like there was a brake fluid leak at the master cylinder to brake booster or a sloppy fill. Something to look in to and clean if it was from the past.

Eric,

It was like that when I got it, I have cleaned it but will most likely have to paint over the stain.

Thanks,

I have the same very pretty brake booster with stains from last spring’s leaky master cylinder surprise.
