1969 Cutlass Supreme, 350ci.

What could cause white smoke to come out of the end of the air intake after shutting the vehicle off? Prior to shutting the vehicle off, it was only idling and putting around my driveway for maybe 20 minutes.

 

Did it make a small back fire, or kick back? If so, probably some exhaust back through the carb?

 

I did not hear anything abnormal when I shut the engine off.

 

You may be running rich due to a number of reasons to include the carb needing a rebuild. It could also be blowby flowing out of the valve cover breather into the air filter housing.

 

Okay. I will run it again and pull the air intake off to try to pinpoint where it is coming from.
