Where to find/buy carb rebuild parts NOT in the kit.

Like the "Floats", for instance. Since they are not included in the rebuild kit I bought where would I find these? I once heard that a dealer would have them but with the demise of Oldsmobile, what dealer would have these now?

Thanks, Paul

Buick - if you can talk to an older partsman familiar with carbs!

Sometimes the local parts houses may have a few running around their store networks. Does not hurt to check with them... If they are metal floats, they are easy to check. Cork ones are the exceptions.
Choke pull-offs are always sold separately and parts stores often still have them (rockauto, too).

I have had no trouble finding a float at my local Oreillys. I havn't needed a choke pull off for a while, but I don't see a problem getting that too.

Base plates, air horns I think are only found in salvage yards or from parts hoarders...er collectors. There was time when you could get a base plate at a parts store, but I think those days are over.
