Exclamation whats the best small block for my car?

whats the best small block for my car?i own a 1986 oldsmobile cutlass supreme coupe.it has a 3.8L v6 engine.the car has a full frame and no a/c.its rear wheel drive with a limited slip dif.i was also wondering whats a good posi rear end that will fit ?if u could help me out it would be GREATLY appreachated

A 72? If you are going to be that specific, at least pick something with smaller dish pistons and smaller combustion chambers.

Almost any 350 will do you great....or 403.

The 350's past 76 (I think it's 76 and up) are not as strong, block wise. In the late 70's they started using "webbing" to make the blocks

1968 to 1972 blocks are great for a build up, but the best combo is the 1972 block with the 7A heads. That's if your going to build it up, if just for a daily driver that will see very little track time, any Olds 350 will do

Windowed mains '77 and up. 395558 cating was used 68-76. #5 heads (68-69) are the best flowing of the small block heads.
