Water pump differences

I pulled my stock 350ci to clean and paint everything and install a new timing chain.

It's turned into a lot of "might as wells".

Can anyone tell me if theirs a difference between the Non-AC and HD/AC water pump?

The PN's from RA.com are 252202 non AC & 252596 w/AC/HD.

I'm planning to install Vintage Air also, so I'm in search of the drivers side alternator bracket & 3 groove water pump pulleys.

Here's an old thread with photos and descriptions of the difference between the water pumps. Make sure you take your core in with you when you purchase the replacement. Also... it would be a good idea to not turn in the core until you've installed the new one. As another member recently shared there are some difference that don't jump out at you. John

What year? The '68-'70 water pumps have a larger hose nipple (2") than the '71-up versions (1.75").
I think the snout length is different between non-AC and AC/HD but I don't know the specifics of those differences.

The non a/c pump has a shorter snout. If you plan on using the three belt pulley, you will need the a/c version. I just went through this on a 72.

Hey guys I'm having a problem trying to locate the correct water pump. Ive now received 2 from Napa and 2 from Rock Auto.

Here is some pics, mine appears to be 5.1". The car is a non AC 350 the only think that looms to have ever been touched on the car is the water pump and the radiator.

Where the heck do I find this 5.1" hub height pump? Preferably in a quality brand like Airtex but I'm getting desperate Im looking to drop this motor back in soon.

Thanks

What part numbers did you receive?

139401 is not in mondellos tech reference manual,I'm also not familar with that casting number.

Did you try a google search? According to this its works for a lot of models. Good luck hopefully someone can help.
