Trusted Olds Repair Shop Needed
After a great day out in my beautiful 1972 Cutlass, my engine started knocking. I got it home safely and found it still missing. My engine jumped timing, and after replacing the sprocket and chains, I found a dead cylinder. The other 7 were at 145lbs.
I am thinking I will need a piston replaced at the very least. The car was restored about ten years ago and doesn't have many miles on the engine. Does anyone know where I can take a car like this for repair? I am no longer in a big city. I am currently in Northen Michigan.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Ouch. Could be a bent/stuck valve, and the piston may have survived... or it could be catastrophic. The answer lies somewhere between, unfortunately. Don't know anyone in northern michigan though... Badgley's Garage in the Lansing area is an Olds specialist, the family has been involved with the H/O club for years.
