terrible exaust sound

I always had a strange poping sound under hard acceleration.
Well I just put on new mufflers, Pypes Street Pro. They are very loud.
When I accelerate it has a very loud poping sound on one side from the exhaust, It sounds terrible. I'm wondering if I may have a bad valve or something. Just wondering if that's the way it sounds or if someone may have had the same problem. Barb.

If so is that just a carb adjustment, Turn out the screw in front of the Carb.

You're dragging the Bishop of Rome around under there! Stop it before you hurt him!

Well, when you get his vestments disentangled from the driveshaft, he can go back home and drive his new Renault 4...

Sounds like a sticking valve.
Possibly a valve with a weak spring.
Have you pulled the cover off the one
side making all the noise and taken a look?
I would also check for any bent pushrods.

A good place to start would be pull out the four plugs on the side that's popping and see what thier condition is. They should be tan in middle electrode and dry black on outer ring.

Thanks for the replies. I looked at the plugs and they all look the same, Clean and dry. I think the valve spring or pushhrod could be the problem.
I know I have been running it to long this way and I'm afraid I may have a damaged valve now. I will have it checked out this week at my local shop. I know now I should have done this sooner. Thanks Barb.

hey buddie I had this once and due this before you go to a shop. I put my car on firm stands and put it in gear with another person putting it in gear and I had a exhaust leak. I am not guaranteeing it but maybe it is. just listen carefully for it.
