Someone kept the oil changed and used good quality oil and filters in that engine.
Just curious why you tore it down when it looks that good?

I didn't really tare it down, I just replaced the oil pan. The new pan is on and it's wrapped up in my mom's garage again. I'm glad I did remove the old pan. The old pan was smashed "up" around the plug. The plug was about 1/2 inch to and 1 inch. The bottom of the pan had sluge in it and the pump screen had 2 timing teeth covers between the screen and metal cover.
Next step, try to get the exterior clean and ready for paint. It's going to be paint the STOCK color for the year car it's going into

That is a HV oil pump I put in there. I also have a a 7 quart oil pan on there. It sure be OK for a street/strip motor, which is what I'm doing with car it's going into
