switching intakes

switching intakes

I just found out the 4bbl intake I purchased for my 71 350 rocket came off a 1966 330 will this intake work or do i need to get another one?

it should work but will have the divorced choke.

Still learning all the ins and outs and not sure what a divorced choke is but I am putting a Edelbrock 600 CFM carb on there

I was going for the stock look but I might just go with a aluminum intake and paint it the original Olds gold

The intake will bolt to a 350. The only problem is that the 66 intake is set up for a divorced choke - the choke coil sits in a pocket in the manifold. You can use a conventional hot air choke by using an aftermarket choke stove like this:

Alternately, you can also convert the hot air choke to an electric choke by swapping the choke coil.

Thanks for the help, it sounds like the Edelbrock with the electric choke will work just fine. All that is left is getting the block from the machine shop so I can put here back together and enjoy the ride.
