Stock carb/intake for '72 Cutlass 350 4bbl
I am likely going to be using a stock Quadrajet 4bbl carb + stock intake when I do my 350 restore in the future. However, I want to have specs closer to the '70 350 with the higher compression. I will likely use stock exhaust manifolds as I hate working with Olds headers.
1) What pistons would I need to come close? ie. Speed Pro ZWL2320F? What would my compression likely be? ie. 9:1? 10.25:1?
2) Do I need to change anything carb/intake wise? I might still have my original Quadrajet laying around. I scrapped my orig. intake long ago, and will need to find another.
3) Preferred cam? I would like something more than the stock cam, but not too much more. I want to be able to use my stock A/C if needed. I will also take it to the drag strip a few times a year.
Thx.

Then I'd shoot for 9.5:1 or so. A cam in the 215 range @ .050 should work fine. You can always use a Performer intake and just paint it gold. With that combo you'll have good performance and a nice daily driver.
