I need a new harmonic balancer for my 1970 350 cutlass. The car is stock and original. What brand do you guys recommend? The only ones I have seen are from Dayco and Dorman. I am leaning towards the Australian made Dayco then the Chinese made Dorman. Any product reviews? Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for the reply. I went ahead and bought the same one as you. From what I can gather, this is the best aftermarket balancer available.

 

You could get it rebuilt for about 100 bucks. I would do that over a new aftermarket unit unless it's a high quality hp unit.

 

I'll be keeping my original in case a rebuild might be in order at some point but I think the PB replacement will work out well for street/cruising duty.
