sealed power pistons
does anyone have any old sealed power books that could give me some info on these pistons???? they are sealed power 2265p...the boxes are marked for export only...cant tell if they are high compression or the terrible 7.9 to 1 pistons

If you measure the diameter and depth of the dish you can calculate the volume, which would tell you if they are low, medium, or high compression.
edit: I am guessing you don't have these in your possession. The exact same pictures are on an e-bay ad that claims these are 9:0 compression 350 pistons.

I looked through a couple of old Sealed Power catalogs and their brand consolidation listing and don't see that number.
Try calling the Federal Mogul tech line. They are actually pretty helpful and have a good archive.

called them---the only info he could come up with is that they were made by TRW back then and were discontinued in 1998---looks like by rough measuring them on the screen, they are the 14cc dish pistons---i bought a set off ebay.. where u gonna get a set of forged pistons for 99.00!!! they have 8 more sets available---they are the good early forgings, not the new foreign made

Not a bad price for 14cc dish forged pistons, but they still are low compression.
I calculate they will give about 8.6:1 compression ratio using undecked block (0.020" clearance), 68cc heads, and Fel Pro head gaskets (.040").
Zero deck the block, mill the heads to 64cc, and use .028" thick head gaskets and you can get 9.3:1 compression ratio.

I did a Google search earlier using "Sealed Power pistons 2265P". It came up 68-70 Olds 350 pistons. It was a page or two back. They would be a great buy, if you can use standard bore pistons. Usually forged pistons need a bit more clearance than cast pistons. Good luck.

A google search spit out an Ebay listing that claims they are 68-70 Olds 350 forged 9:1. Here's the link while it still exists:

...and here's another non-Ebay listing, same application:
http://www.stevefairchild.com/parts/...0-pistons.html
I don't know if I'd trust that "9:1" part...
