RPM Heads - Alt Bracket

I have installed new RPM heads on my 350. Can someone give me feedback on installing the Alt bracket? It looks like I may have to modify the bracket for it to set flush with the end of the head. I would really appreciate some feedback and any pictures if possible.

Thanks

I have LH alternator bracket on mine & don't remember any issue w/ install. At most I might have a washer on each bolt BEHIND the bracket to space it out for pulley alignment - I did on my original iron heads but can't remember if I needed them w/ Ebrks. I'll check if it seems relevant to your situation.

I don't see any way you are getting a mechanical pump on a small block w/o modifyng the arm & mounting flange

or, you have to cut out the front of the head & weld a patch in there. I had BTR do this on mine for RobbMc pump & it is pretty deep. This pump is physically larger than the small OE pump but neither one is going in there without mods. $$ probably similar to mod head or convert to electric pump, just depends which route is less distasteful to you.

We went w/ a electric pump on a '69 w/ edelbrock heads - good luck finding a block-off plate!
Also don't remember [but I'm old!!] problems w/ brackets-but ours is a 455-good luck!!

An EGR block off plate works for the fuel pump as well.
and vice-versa.

You can get the fuel pump block off on Ebay and all Olds vendors. Good tip on the EGR block off plate.
