Rocket 324 Back from the machine shop

I am currently building a 324. I sent the engine to a local machine shop to have it bored for new pistons and the heads decked. I have since got it back and have continued the build

I remember reading somewhere in the forums here to check for certain things after getting a 324 back from the machine shop to make sure the machinist used the same oil ports or something so the timing chain and cam shaft are properly oiled while the engine is running. Specifically what do I need to look for?

Thanks for all your help.

Maybe you are remembering a post about the soft plugs for the oiler for the the distributor either not being replaced or the correct plug( the one with I believe a 40 thousand hole in it) not being put in at all This is a common mistake that machinist make that don't work on Oldsmobile's often.. If engine is assembled look through the distributor hole with a strong light and you will see what I'm talking about... Tedd
