Re-Man QJets

All,

Had to have the 350 on my 72 Cutlass overhauled and am looking at replacing the QJet carb. My preference would be to get a remanufactured QJet but am wondering who you guys recommend. I've read a lot of references about some stellar folks who will refurbish your existing carb but there's a considerable wait time there. I'd like to get this ride back from the shop after a two-month plus absence and would rather not go the Edelbrock route.

Regards,

Jim Nesbitt

If you go aftermarket I suggest a Holley or Summit carburetor over an Edelbrock. The Summit carburetor is a clone of a Holley 4010 and uses Holley parts. Then again, it's personal preference.

I am planning to have my original carb rebuilt. Likely use Quadrajet Power in TX. Only a 2-3 week turnaround. And the price is reasonable. Check out my post (link shown in Olds64 reply). Good luck! Ken

I used smi induction for a custom built quadrajet and that thing was just about perfect out of the box, really only needed a idle adjustment.

Everyday Performance, fairly short wait time when I got mine. Has different options and his prices are good. I don't blame you on the Edelbrock, the Street Demon is much better.

Thanks for the mention.
My turnaround is 2-3 weeks. We are small shop and do custom builds for your Quadrajet. Check out what all I do on the builds at my website at wwe.quadrajetpower.com
