Question about my 350 olds

It's a 350 Olds and I bought a Holley Air Breather for the car but i'm wondering.

What do most people do with the T.V.S (Thermal Vacuum Switch) that fits in the stock air breather, Since i'm putting the Holley Air Breather on i wont need the Damper in the stock air breather, But do i need the rear vacuum brake. Or just hook the air supply line directly to the rear vac brake

If anyone can assist me with this i'd be much obliged.

By "air breather" do you mean "air cleaner?"

By TVS, do you mean the little vacuum thingie in the air cleaner that says "AutoThermAC" on it?

By "Damper" do you mean the air flapper that diverts air from either the exhaust manifold preheater or the regular intake snorkel?

By "rear vacuum brake" what exactly do you mean?
Your power brake booster is NOT connected to your air cleaner.

What year and model is your car, and is this the original engine, and has it been modified?

Ok I think I know what you're asking. If you went with a Holley air cleaner, it doesn't need a thermal vacuum. You can just plug the rear intake manifold vacuum tip and leave everything else alone. Your reference to a rear vacuum break (not brake BTW) is a bit confusing. If the car is stock except for the air cleaner, the vacuum lines are already hooked up for that.

Did you also change carbs or are you running the stock rochester or q jet?

My apologies! I was writing fast and wrote "Brake" over "Break"

Yes it's a Rochester QJ

It's a 1979 Olds Delta 88 Holiday 88

Alright thank you very much!

Vacuum break is another name for a choke pulloff. Yes, just bypass the deleted thermal sensor and go directly to the rear vac break (pulloff).
