Power increase from boring out a 330 to 350?

Title says it all. If I've got a low compression 310hp (9:1) 330 and If I bore it out to a 350 during a rebuild, what changes would I see?

If everything else stays the same, it will depend upon the compression ratio. If you keep it 9:1 then I think you gain a bit of torque due to the slightly larger displacement; increasing or decreasing the compression ratio would raise or lower the amount.

Now if you bore the block, increase the compression ratio, install a larger cam, and add duals to replace single exhaust, there could be a significant power change.

I'm not sure if you can bore a 330 into a 350 without hitting water. I thought you were going to get a 350?

I I dropped it off to get the 330 rebuilt, and then the stupid virus happened. I just saw that people said you can get the 3
the 330 bored out to a 350 and I was curious what that would do

The biggest difference you'll notice is the weight savings in your wallet, as it will be a lot lighter. Seriously, that's going from 3.938" to 4.057", not quite a 0.120" overbore. Even if you can go that far with acceptable wall thickness, you'll be MUCH further ahead financially to just buy a 350 block.

You should be able to find a good 350 for not much money. I had a nice running complete 72 350 with no carb, or brackets, and I had a hard time selling it. Ended up almost giving it away, I think I got $150.

And then there's the 403.
