Egge machine shows them. Their products are pretty decent.

I know Egge Makes them but I do not see them on there site. I got mine through D&D aluminum V8 http://aluminumv8.com/ for our car. I had to go .030 on ours also.

I am not seeing where those are over sized but I know they make them.

EDIT... I see them now. Has a drop down window for the size.

The pistons in the pictures of Egge site is not similar to my piston...
now I have write at D&D-aluminumV8...
I saw that the 215 has been installed on many cars in the years '60-'70-'80... (Rover)... you think is possible adapt an other 215 engine in my F85? which?? (if I find one in Europe!)

GM sold the tooling and motor design to Rover in 1966. Rover built this motor for about four decades. The Rover motor is externally identical to the Olds 215, though it uses the Buick style heads and valve covers - Olds 215 valve covers won't fit. You can swap the entire Rover motor as an assembly. Note that the later 4.0 and 4.6 liter motors have cross bolted main caps for added strength but have no provision for a distributor, as they are all electronic. Similarly, they use a different front cover with a serpentine belt system. It is possible to swap an older 215 front cover onto these Rover motors, though that entails some work with a crank spacer (to replace the crank-driven oil pump) and adding a distributor drive gear to the cam. I'm doing exactly this with my 62 F-85. I've got a Rover 4.6 short block and Buick 300 crank, which (with the right piston selection) gets me about 4.9 liters.

Thanks Joe!
For the 4.0 or 4.6 I am not interested
Therefore I can swap the entire 215 Rover engine (any year?), and he will mount perfectly on my Hydramatic? The intake and exaust manifold I can mount those of my olds 215?
There are not some changes or modifications?
...I ask so that I can evaluate if buy parts in USA ( + work here for rectification block) for redbuild my engine, OR find a 215 rover (parts or already mounted) here in Italy or Europe!

An early Rover 3500 is nearly identical to the Buick version of the 215. All motor mount, bellhousing, and manifold bolt locations are exactly the same. You need to use the Oldsmobile flywheel due to the unique Rotohydramatic 5 trans. The only thing I'm not entirely sure of is if the Rover motors have all the same mounting provisions for the accessory brackets.

The Egge pistons should work fine. They have a slightly different design with the 4 valve reliefs but that really should not affect anything. The compression ratio might end up slightly different but I doubt it would be noticeable in any way.

in your opinion, the heads of my olds 215 that are good (6 bolt for cyl.), mount on european rover 215? I will problem with compression?
as regards the compression, I read some documentation on web, but I do not know exactly if my engine is 155hp (export?) or 185hp or 195/215hp and relative compression: 8.75 or 10.25 or 10.75 (my engine is 4 bbl carburator)

Furthermore, If I will buy a new parts for rebuild my engine, what is the right camshaft for my '63 engine? (I see that there are camshaft with different angles...)

Thanks for the help!

The Rover blocks don't have the provisions for installing the Olds heads. Olds used a unique oiling configuration for the rocker shafts and the Buick/Rover blocks don't have the necessary features to accommodate this. Adapting the Olds heads to a Buick/Rover block requires significant work, like using different lifters and hollow pushrods to oil the rockers. Either use the Rover engine complete or fix your Olds motor.

For compression and HP.. you know what I have?
the block code is S(serial number)H and is 4bbl
in some documents for code SH I have seen 155hp (but 2 bbl), in other 185 or 215 hp and related comprssion 8.75, 10.25

There is a concern that this might be a fraudulent ad. https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...4&goto=newpost

I ended up sourcing Buick dished pistons for my Olds 215 as they are still very common. My Jetfire needs it's compression lowered a bit anyway. By the time I resurface the heads and re deck the block, I'm sure my compression ratio will still be in the low 9's.

The Buick pistons with rings are on ebay for about $320 US. Last time I checked, there was still a 2bbl and 4bbl option available.

Hello, can you tell me the difference between these two series of pistons??
if Olds (as opposed to Buick) for compression changed the heads, and pistons were always the same, because there are pistons 4-bbl and pistons 2-bbl?
If 2-bbl work well on my engine 4-bbl, it would cost a lot less....

PISTONS KIT 2-bbl:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Oldsmobile-F...aoioXrf4TB1zBw
PISTONS KIT 4-bbl:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/190289370880...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

(the seller does not answer me)

The listings I'm referring to are not these. The listings I refer to are by a seller "old.parts".

Do an ebay search for "Pistons and Rings 61 62 63 Buick Skylark 215 with 4 bbl." (I'm lousy with cut and paste)

The difference is the dish depth on the Buick version between 2 bbl and 4 bbl pistons. I corresponded with him and if I recall correctly, he told me the difference in dish depth and or volume. From there, you can do your own calculations to fit your needs.
