part connected to EGR valve off 350

does anyone know what this part (in blue) is called and where I can get one ?

Without knowing what year car it's on, hard to guess. It's some type of vacuum delay valve.


Try NAPA.

I found out that it is called back pressure transducer valve . These are not stocked at chain parts stores .
Do you know if this part can be bypassed or eliminated ? It comes off of the EGR .

eliminate all smog crap. Replace with a modern intake and carb. Unless you are going for the original look.

pressure transducer valve

thanks for your input.
I was debating just eliminating it . However , with the original look the hose out from blue part (pressure transducer) goes to carb where it T's off and it goes to area near transmission dipstick . Can I just cap off the EGR and the hose to carb and leave the T in place with no impact to whatever part it leads to near transmission ?
Thanks again ... just trying to get it right .

You shouldn't have any problem with capping off the EGR and the line that went to it. It only provides vacuum to that EGR valve for it to be able to open and close.
