OAI fiberglass hood insulation

Hi, had a question about underside hood insulation for a 71 cutlass supreme hardtop coupe with a reproduction fiberglass OAI hood. I've been trying to find correct hood insulation for it, but the only ones I've seen come with fasteners, which my hood does not have holes for. What I had envisioned was insulation I could potentially slip under the cross member frame and glue in.
However, I've also been told underside insulation isn't necessary, but I'm concerned about the heat cooking and damaging the fiberglass. Any thoughts on which insulation to get or if it's even needed? Almost done with the 10-year restoration project and should be starting it up in the next few weeks. Thanks!

OAI hoods don't get sound insulation. Ever.

You know the line in the W-car descriptions that say "reduced body sound deadener"? This is it. Insulation would block the air inlet. Kind of a "it's not a bug, it's a feature" thing.
