Nylon part for 350 Points Distributor?

Received a rebuild points distributor for my Rallye 350 from RockAuto and the circled part below was loose inside the box it came in. I have no idea where it goes or what it is for. Any ideas? Thanks

That piece goes under the weights for them to slide on. Will be a hole for that button to sit in. Remove spring and lift weight off and you will see the hole or button.

There should be one under each weight. That is most likely a spare. The rebuilt distributor should have two already installed.

Took the weights off two different distributors and they both look like the below. No holes for a nylon button but both had a pad that looks to be a light metal.

No nylon buttons for you. Lube the round flat area for the weights to slide on and you are done.

You might check for the mechanical advance bushing also.
