No teeth

Well the kids W41 lost oil pressure. Apparently a common problem? After 5 hrs of getting all the a/c, wires, fender well, brackets and coolant lines out of the way to get to the oil pan. Luckily without dropping the subframe! Here is the oil pump gear. All fiber nylon teeth. Pump and gaskets on the way

It's back on the road we fixed the low oil level wires and the driver side abs connector.

Nice, those cars are rare as hens teeth these days, glad to see you are keeping her on the road.

You were able to save the crank and bearings? Had that happen in a 1972 SS and it took out the number 3 journal and spun the bearing. Had to get a used short block. Well Done! Been to the BOC plant myself many times and through Grand Ledge. Hauled all the dies from the mid 60;s through early70's out of the BOC plant to be scrapped back in the late 80's. Almost cried seeing all those destroyed!

When it happened, it just happened on fire up of the engine and the boy noticed the clatter and no oil pressure and shut it down. So maybe 20 seconds of run time. I still hate getting coolant baths and junk in my eyes

I got to drive it after the repairs for the first time. (only had it six weeks) repairs took weeks because of the rain and the boy managed to break the oil pan! Thank you for JB weld. Car is quick and loves 4500 plus on the tach and ran it as high as 6000K

Hood paint is trashed, were thinking of a possible gloss black wrap and possible stripes in silver the hood. Kid is on a budget so I ended buying the parts so he could get it going again. So he won't have to drive my 9th generation Impala and me to stop driving my ultra low mileage Alero.
