New problem old engine! ?you think?.

ok I just purchased a 69 4 door cutlass with a 350 for $50.00 good deal ha!

so I pulled the plugs and turned it over by hand -oil came out of one cylinder and water out of another --question is cracked block -or cracked head?.

ok so it has # 5 heads and the winshield cowl area i need and some other parts I can use. body is junk !

I don't think one could tell without removing the heads and making repairs would required their removal anyway so.......

Look closely at the trunk or deck lid, that is the same one that's used on the convertibles. If it's saveable that's worth a few bucks. Please post the city and state, if you decide to dismantle it there maybe someone nearby that would be interested in parts before it goes to the crusher. John

4 door cutlass

ok Iwill look it over good. I live in Concord NH.
as i'm restoring a 69 convertible question will the back seat fit the convertible?

Good deal, either way.. I think it is probably more of a gasket issue with the engine. Are there any signs of major overheating, coolant in oil, etc...

Cool thanks for insight. new ? 5A heads

yes there is coolant in oil as well. new question I just purchased another 350 I think blue valve covers with 5 capital letter A heads are theese any good and this engine has a egr valve with hei distributor?? what do I have here?
