You came to the right place. Just hold on and be ready to answer specific questions and don't get mad if someone plays with you a little. This is the first place I always go. Good Luck.

Here is an interesting build for you to check out.

heads:
#4 heads
combustion chamber measured out at 62 cc's
3 angle valve job by Rocket Racing (SMALL VALVE HEADS 1.87/1.56)
No porting at all
Comp Cams roller tip rockers and pushrods (no fitment issues)

induction:
Performer RPM intake
650 Holley double pumper

exhaust:
1 3/4 A-Body headers with some 3" dynomax turbo mufflers hanging off the headers

Im guessing the car weighs about 4000lbs. We also did not have wide open throttle on this car.

fancy port job.....big valves.......exotic bore/stroke combination.......expensive pistons........main girdle.......solid flat tappet.....you won't find it in this build

Ditch the stock pistons, get some L2320's.
Keep those cylinder heads. Put some 2.0 intakes in them. 3-4 angle valve job. Fill heat risers. Headers. Cam.
E-brock rpm performer. Q-JET!

I too, want the free Engle cam!

The problem is building more than the 8:1 compression with those factory pistons.
Do not cut the heads more than .060.
I hope you do put in a new timing set, and oil pump. Half of the old plastic timing gear will be in the pickup for the pump.
Your goal should still be attainable.
