There is a '66 in the East El Paso U Pull It. It has a 330 engine with 60,000 miles if you wanted a spare.
12000 E Montana Ave, US 62/180. Believe it's a U Pull and Pay. (UPAP). Don't think it has more than two or three weeks left.

Rear axle that might be calling your name, reasonably priced.

I just sold my old truck so I have an influx of cash as well as the wife’s permission to take over the garage again. So, my Christmas holidays will be spent tearing down the engine to get it ready for the machine shop. I still haven’t decided if I want to build a 200R4 or of I will buy a built one. I’ve never rebuilt a trans.

I pulled the trigger on a built 200-4R today. I am purchasing from Bow Tie Overdrives. It is coming with 2200 stall, automatic lockup in 4th, trans cooler lines, TV cable for my carb, flex plate, dip stick, and Speedo gears for my rear end and tire size. It will be here in about 8 weeks, so I will be doing very little before Good Guys at Texas Motor Speedway in mid March. I think I will try to get a 3.73 posi installed before the car show.

Well, my waiting around is going to cost me dearly. It seems that prices for most of the stuff to build the 330 have doubled in price if they can be found at all. I have also been waiting to jump in on this engine rebuild for the Edlebrock RPM Aluminum heads which I am told should be available soon. This all still hinges on what my local machine shop finds once I tear the engine down and hand it over to them for prep work.

I do finally have the posi rear end back in but I’m still running the anemic JetAway. I hope to pull engine and trans together, so I’ll get the 200-4R in place when I can get the engine back in. I’ve made the car limp along and put up with a lot of mean stares due to the smoke when I pull away. The car show season is over, so it is time for me to clean up the garage and prepare for the tear down.
