Need an Olds engine builder in Indy

Anyone know of a good engine builder in Indy for my 72 350/4 bbl 442? I would like to get 300-350 ponies from it when done but cannot seem to find a good shop around here. Im sure there are probably several, just dont know who and where. This is a project that would probably be "turned over" to the builder as I am fighting cancer and simply do not have the energy to participate too much.

Any help out there for me?

Steve Schmidt racing on the east side, 1800-957-7223, rebuilt my 74 olds 350 about a year ago. Good price no complaints. Indy cylinder head ,862-3724, did my #7 heads. Again good price no complaints. I could be wrong but I couldnt find anyone in Indy who specializes in oldsmobiles.

Same boat here... after talking to several shops (incl Schmidt) I ended up doing all of the teardown & parts/buildup research myself. I used Brownsburg Machine for initial cleaning/parts checkout (very happy with them) and am using another machine shop/builder for add'l work & assembly. The builder has been receptive & patient (considering my 100's of questions) with me, but Olds are not something they've done regularly for a long time so there's a lot of Q&A going on now. I'm prolly a month away from completion so I can't recommend them just yet...(but, so far, so good..)

If I had it to do over, & considering my legwork/time in this, I'd prolly look closer at one of the Olds 'specialists' in one of the surrrounding states where I could've just dropped it off, handed them some desired specs, & picked it up...

if you are looking for machine work, i use Woody Automotive Machine in Thorntown. they do most all my machine work and never had trouble. only thing is, i have never had them do my heads. i would be more than willing to let them do my heads but a friend i have here in Brazil has always done my heads. i know woodys has built some Olds jet boat motors in the past but not sure if they will assemble the entire engine now. i am taking my 62 215 engine parts there soon. my friend here in brazil builds heads on the side from farming if you want his number. only thing is he is VERY slow.
