Name this part

The service manual calls this a Distributor Vacuum Control Switch. I can't find anything by that name at any parts websites.
Is it known by another name?

Look under Emission controls. DVCS might also be a clue.

You can’t find that on parts web sites because it’s not reproduced. You would have to find an original somewhere.

As said above, it’s an emissions control device and as such restricts efficiency and performance and is only needed for originality, if you’re into that.

Okay, thanks for the info. I'm doing a rebuild and this is the only dirty part left on intake. I'll definitely bypass this, possibly get a plug for the hole and leave it off.

Just a couple more threads which may assist you & an image of the plug I used when removing the DVCS/TVS/TCS (available at any hardware store).

I put a mechanical water temperature gauge in that port.
