My weekend project

Swapping cam, springs, lifters, rocker arms, pushrods, pushrod, manifold. Car shows 98k and by the inside of motor and suspension I'm satisfied it's not 198k. So far this has gone easy and nothing rusted on broken. It's great working on a rust free Az car.

Don't know why pictures were upside down. Used 4 degree advance on crank gear and came out at 106. Was hoping for 104.

What are the specs on your car? You should be fine as 106 is what the cam card recommends. As long as everything occurred where it is supposed to, then so be it. Good luck.

It's just a 350 2 barrel. Jet away trans. Will get motor and air conditioning squared away before Az heat. Then T400 and Ford 9 inch with 3.70 gears in the fall.

Are you staying with the 2 bbl? Interesting to hear how much it helps with that lame gearing.

Unfortunately I bought it as a non runner. Current gear is 2.78 so I'm sure anything will help. It has been a productive weekend.

I moved and have all my good tools buried in storage. Make a crude valve spring compressor. Worked really well. The old springs had 40 to 60lb seat pressure. The new I set at 1.670 and are at 95 lb seat pressure and 210 opened at 450 inch compressed.
