kickdown help

kickdown help

on my 79 ta i have 403 and edelbrock performer 600cfm came with the car when i bought it. It never had kickdown hooked up and the cable is just laying there, im missing a part off of the carb but for the life of me cant find what it is if anyone knows how its supposed to be set up let me know.

I'm not intimately familiar with your model and year but a quick lookey at the carburetor makes me think the throttle lever is incorrect and thus the carb is probably incorrect for the car. The throttle lever that you have reminds me of the lever on earlier model Olds Q-jet's. If you can get the numbers from the carb I'm certain others can determine the application for that carb.
