JM-20-22 in a small bolck?

I'm thinking of getting this cam from Engle, but pretty much everything I'm finding is relating to big blocks. Will this cam have decent street manors and be able to run power brakes in my 72 Cutlass? How will it idle in the SB?

The rest of the build will be as follows:

Std bore 350 block with TRW flat tops ala W-31
7a heads mild port and polish 2.00/1.60 valves.
comp roller tip rockers
edelbrock OL4B intake with a Q-jet
Dual exhaust with cast manifolds (I hate headers)
3.42 gears.
B&M 22-2400 convertor

Cam specs?

With properly set up distributor [manifold VA feed] I'd *guess* it'd be fine.

not a long duration, should have a pretty smooth idle and enough brake vacuum

IMO, that is a great old-school cam for a 10 to 1 355 with a little gear and converter. IIRC, duration @ .050 is 226/230 Nice idle, great mid range.

It's not the same, but very similar to the Performer rpm cam from Edelbrock. I think the Lunati BracketmasterII is another.

I have not tried that in a small block so contact engle they will steer you right, they make it and know it well also do not forget to tell them your compression and rpm.

Compression ratio I agree with but how exactly is he going to tell them his "rpm"?

I used that cam MANY MOONS ago. Since I liked all the Engle cams I tried, it must have been good. Sorry can't tell you what it was like in my 350.
