I was hoping someone can tell me if the pullies and balancer from a 1972 455 will work on a 1970 350?

The front of all Olds motors, big and small block, is the same from 1964-1990. The issue with pulleys is that you need to use the pulleys, water pump, and accessory brackets as a matched set. There were three different length water pumps used by Olds and the pulleys, particularly the water pump pulley, are correspondingly different. Mixing and matching pulleys has led to about as many posts as the motor mount confusion issue.

Joe, are you saying that if I use the small-block motor mounts on my big block, I should also use the small-block pulleys? If I don't, will my headers still fit? (Let's start a new rumor.)
