$675 for a set of exh. manifolds?? I threw mine in the garbage long ago (wish I would have kept them though), and many ppl just give them away.

I don't care if the head bolts were bead blasted lovingly with Samoan volcanic pumice by nude Polynesian maidens and then plated with the purest gold smelted from the One Ring of Middle Earth, they're smokin' some wicked sh||+ over there.

Any one of us could pull out a couple dozen good head bolts (the ones under the valve cover), acid etch 'em (no need to sandblast if they're not pitted, is there?), and Parkerize 'em for essentially zero money.

I've got this great bridge that's a bit hard to store - wonder if I could sell that on eBay...

I always knew they were on something, but this must be nasty stuff!

What is so special about used head bolts? John (2blu442) must have a thousand of those things.

I can see non-pitted manifolds be worth 300 but almost 700? Maybe for NOS.........

Bridges are better off sold to scrap metal dealers. They won't question it..

There's at least three sellers on ebay with starting bids 4 or 5 times what I think parts should sell for. I don't know if they're hoping for somebody with too much money that just doesn't know any better... or what! There must be some special deal for businesses as they'll run these over priced items for weeks. The listing fees for us small guys would make long term auctions like that too costly.

Back to the real world, for those of you who were here in 2009 remember the "time capsule engine"? Those manifolds were as close to NOS as you could get! I don't remember exactly what I sold them for but think it was around $40-50 each. John

People like these guys are just looking for the Greater Fool. They are greedy and do nothing good for our hobby.

i looked today and i do have a set as nice as those but not painted. i just bead blasted them. i should post them on eBay with a title real close to his and put an opening bid of $80 just to see what happens. it wouldn't accomplish much other than people could see just how silly his post is.
