Ignition coil FULL of water
Found the source of the weird miss on my car it looks like. The coil was completely full of water to the point you could hear it and feel it when you moved the coil back and forth.
I got as much of it out as I could without spending all night with it and the problem is better but not completely gone.
My question, is the coils salvagable? Or do I need a new one. I noticed the screw in the coil hookup wasnt in all the way and I guess that meant the seal wasnt good inside there. I accidently cracked the face overtightening the positive terminal down after cleaning them and was surprised to find water coming out.
It was a cheapo WPS one off rockauto, a new standard motor products one is 25 bucks or so at T and T up the road, but im a broke *** student right now (DO my final test tomorrow, supposed to be studying right now, too bad this isnt worth marks) and was wondering if i could save the coil.
Its still under manufactuers warranty, but id have to order a new coil then send this one back for a refund as the car is my daily and I cant have it not running

The coils are filled with oil, if its leaking it needs to be replaced. If you drive it like that it will overheat and burn up quickly. I doubt that you can return it because you cracked it. If you need the car buy the coil from up the street.

Really? That was a type of oil? Seemed exactly like water, weird. Especially since the car seemed to run better after draining it haha.

That was my plan anyways.
Little confused how destroying the coil seemed to largely fix the issue I was having though.
Guess this is what I get for buying a 7 dollar coil.
