Idle Up Solenoid

Idle Up Solenoid
How do I adjust the idle up solenoid? I tried to adjust it engine running, ac on, compressor wire disconnected and the stupid screw doesn't turn at all. Is it busted or what?

I have the 1977 service manual, and this is what it has on that topic:
That might not provide any more information than you already know, but I'm not seeing much else as far as information on how to make that adjustment.

There were a couple of different solenoids - just in case yours got swapped or replaced.
Some are adjusted by turning the rod that comes out of the solenoid. If this is frozen, then you need to get it unfrozen (BFH?) or find a better functioning one.
Some have extra threads on the body of the solenoid and are adjusted by moving the entire solenoid closer or further from the throttle. The retaining nut has a lock plate to hold it in place.
You could have a locked up solenoid, or the wrong type.
