My uncle may have a set of w-31 heads.
These are large 2.0 / 1.6 valve sbo heads. Is there any telltale signs of w31 heads other than the 2-in intake valve and the 1.6 exhaust valve

Curious as to what they are worth I might be buying them from him. Not going to rip him off.

Unfortunately, any #5(68-69) or #6(70) head can be turned into a W31 Head. There are no special castings or markings that would make it a W31 head

These look to have a stock valve in the heads.
Are they worth anything? I know you are saying all the same except valve size.
I don't want to rip him off but want to make an offer

Just pay what you would pay for a set of #5 or #6 standard heads. The only bonus is you don't have to pay the machine shop to cut the heads for bigger valves.

Ya I don’t think knit really matters whether they are W-31 heads or not as long as they have big valves and are 5, or 6 heads. Just don’t pay an outrageous amount on the assumption that they’re W31 heads unless you’re trying to restore a w-31.
