how mach mill the edelbrock head?

Hello.

How much is what must be lowered in the cylinder head edelbrock for a compression ratio of 10: 1 with a flat piston and a cylinder head gasket 4.125 x 0.027 for engine olds 355 or 350 + 030?

regards.

But, how much mill?? 0.02 or 0.08... Someone grinding these heads, to increase the compression ratio?

Thanks and regards...

Whoever is doing the machine work is gonna have to cc the heads first. There is no telling if they are 77cc or more. If your machinist can't figure that out, find another one.

Another option is Bernard mondello and procomp heads: he cleans them up, puts good parts on them and he can set them up for a small block, for the price of bare edelbrocks.

Not just the cc's of the heads but the other variables like , head gasket thickness , and how far the pistons sit in the bore. There is no magical cut to get 10 to 1 compression its all part of an equation.

Hi.

It is madeĦĦĦ ... With a brushed 0.090 in the cylinder heads Edelbrock, is a combustion chamber of 64cc, so with thick head gasket 0.040 and cylinder rectified to 0.030 and pistons probe, resulting in a CR = 10.5: 1 ...

regards.

How did you get Probe Pistons? I tried for half a year.

Milling .006 off of the head = 1 cc (this according to an accredited member)

4.087 bore/3.385 stroke/4.125 head gasket bore/ flat top piston/64cc head/0 deck/.040 gasket = 11:1 if my math is correct.

Probe Pistons have a -3cc relief. Probes set .025 in the hole (thats where my -5.8cc speed pros are and this is a recommended depth) should give you around 10:1
