I would think you will have oiling problems with it mounted on its side like that.

yea I think it is the pass side, I was wondering if a roller rocker can be making the nosie?

One person told it was nothing but I hear it all day long and just want to make sure nothing is wrong.

I think it was a Lunati (would have to find the paper work), roller rocker are cast. Do you hear the tapping as well? Is it normal to have a little tapping in a 374 stroker? When I press the gas the tapping doesn't get louder or faster it stays the same.

A friend of mine says it is the rockers that some rockers make more noise then other but that doesn't sound right to me.

Thank You.

Run the engine with no accesories like the fan , alt etc etc. I one had an alternator that sounded like a faint rod knock . I have had water pumps make noise , I have had junk fuel pumps make a to of noise. I'm running a lunati voodoo cam and the valve train is noisey . To rule it down the the engine eliminate anyting else that could cause it. Slight header leaks will also **** ya off . I have been there lol

They are diamond racing pistons. When you say piston noise do you mean good noise or bad, if there is a good piston noise.

Sounds like valvetrain to be honest. There is no such thing as good piston noise.

Those pistons should only be noisy when cold. Otherwise you may have issues.

All this doesn't sound good. So where do I go from here? Would I have to get another rebuilt to fix this bad rebuilt? or do I just have a big paper weight? I know things can go bad in a rebuilt but I was hoping not to me don't really have money to have it fixed.

thank You for the reply's

Before you declare it a bad build dig into it. Valvetrain can be loud. Maybe the retainers are smaking the guides etc etc. To me it does not sound like pistons . The fact you said it does not get faster with rpms means it can't be pistons because they would get louder and the noise would become faster .

The Comp cast roller tips are loud. The Scorpion true roller rockers are definitely quieter.
