I believe you will find a small fitting on the deck that the oil filler tube is in. It should be about 2.5" to the right of the filler as you are looking at it. I don't know what was in the hole from the factory as mine was already set up with a gauge when I picked it up. hope this helps

I should specify, this is for the olds engine only. If the car has a sbc in it I'm not sure where the fitting would be.

I am pretty sure there should be something there whether he had a gauge or not. If he doesnt have the gauge it should be an oil pressure switch to turn on the idiot light if pressure goes to low.

^^^ Yes, but you'll need an oil pressure sender socket to get the stock sender out, and "T" it

Reddog is correct. What you see when you look at the top of the engine just behind the water pump on the right side is the sending unit for the electric guage or light. after you remove it you will find a 1/4" threaded hole. buy a 1/4" brass nipple and a "T" fitting use thread sealer and install the electric sending unit in the top hole and the 1/4" brass fitting in the side hole and install the 1/4" line there

Actually it's a 1/8" NPT threaded hole.
