Is that a small block and what did you use (part#) and what did you have to do to them to make them fit??

Guys I pounced on the opportunity to help without thinking it through
That's a 400E in the pictures in place of the 330. But I may add; that if the motor is not really build for a high performance application, you will not see much gain in HP anyway with headers on a 330. The Olds motor builders will tell you that. The other option is to check into extrude honing the Olds manifolds but the same applies and it's not cheap.

I said it before and I'll say iy again. Many years ago (my 1st '64 Cutlass), Iinstalled a set of Hooker Competition headers on a 330 column shift auto. that wereon a friend's 67 442 (400 cu.in.) that he wrecked pretty badly. They went in fine and no clearance problems. I used the entire exhaust system as well.

Dave they probably did fit, but did the ports on the heads line up ( match) properly with the headers. That's the ten million dollar question. Alot parts off the 330 will fit a BB, but will if work properly.

As far as I know---Yes--- Honestly, I don't know how they couldn't have lined up. The bolt holes on the flange lined up perfectly with the holes in the head. Are the ports on the big-block (400 in the '67) in a different position versus the bolt holes, than on a small-block (330 in the '64)? Maybe they are and today I learned something new---you know these old cars are always making me think----just when you think you have something figured out, it jumps right up and bites you in the a$$!!!!!!!!!!
I'm always ready to learn something---especially if it is free and helpful!!!
Thoughts?????????

All I go with is the amount of times people have attempted and failed to get headers installed on the 65-67 sbo "A" bodies. The frames are too narrow for them to physically fit with a small block.
Dave if you have a secret then, you will make umpteen peoples really really really and yes I mean really happy.

see my thread here pertaining to this topic:

i've been through 4 sets, including Hooker, Flowtech, Sanderson, and some generic brand....none fit.
I went with Thorton's manifolds, great product, nothing but good things about them.
@ THEROBSKI.....i can't see how the steering shaft is going to fit between your frame and those headers. you have no room there at all, maybe i'm wrong, but at first glance that side looks way too tight.
