Head bolts and studs...where do they go???

Head bolts and studs...where do they go???
I have 2 head studs..one long,one short...can't remember where they go.
I imagine they go up front to mount A/C,power steering or alternator.
One each per side?
Both on one side?
Motor came from 76 Cutlass.
Pics and info appreciated.
