Guideplate advice

I am assembling the valvetrane of my stroker engine and ran into a little interference problem with the pushrods. The heads are ProComps that have been cut down to 68cc chambers, the block has also been zero decked which seems to have mucked up the pushrod geometry. The problem is my 3/8" pushrods are rubbing the pushrod holes in the heads, some more than others. I have ordered 5/16" pushrods from Smith Bros. to replace the 3/8" ones for more clearance, but I can't seem to find a 5/16" guideplate for a 7/16" stud. Comp makes a 5/16" guide plate for 5/16" studs (part#4842) but they don't make one for 7/16" studs. Should I buy these from Comp and I drill out the stud holes to 7/16"or is there another vendor that makes what I need?

Here's a pic.

I had a similar issue as you, but I had to go with 5/16" push rods due to 3/8" hitting the collar on the lifter.

After talking with cutlassefi about my issue, I tried these (it doesn't say in the description, but they are 7/16'' mounting holes)

They fit great, but I still had valve tip/rocker alignment problems, so I used Bernard Mondello's adjustable guide plates. (I don't know why that is highlighted, those ARE NOT the ones)

Problem solved, and I now have perfect rocker arm/valve tip geometry.

These are for 5/16" pushrods and 7/16" studs:

I run these in my 330 (352 stroker). The pushrods had some slight interference with the bottom of the guideplate slots so I had to file them down a little (no big deal).
Perfect otherwise, the adjustability gives you the rocker/valve tip alignment you want.

Midrange & Rocket:
Thanks for the help. I ordered a set of the adjustable Isky guide plates.
